Fertilization a la Tesla

In 1897, Nikola Tesla, always ready to turn out new ideas, came up with an ingenious concept how to fertilize the soil with elctrified water (water that had went through an electric field) - without chemical fertilizers, and without big costs. It was an idea that was simple, easy-to-do and absolutely “green”. Today, there is still good knowledge about that idea of Tesla. It would help grow plants faster and better. It would save all the chemistry put into our modern food. But it also would be too simple and too effective. The big fertilizer producing companies (you know the names) would soon be out of business with the application of Tesla’s electric fertilizing methods. It would be no deal for them companies - it would be a good deal for us though.

Tesla funny

Tesla can be taken seriously, Tesla can be taken funny:

Good thing is these guys are really funny. Tesla also had some humor, but there was also made fun out of Tesla. Like this: The last days of mankind. Tesla stands at the gates of hell, masses walk through. Tesla: “Wait. Soon I will have my big apparatus to save all of you…” Famous last words.

Tesla even cooler

On June 10th, the “Economist” published an article under the headline “power from thin air”. The article deals with Nikola Tesla’s plans to transmit energy wirelessly - and what the industry of today does with this idea. As we all know, Tesla’s concept failed at the time. Today, this might have changed, thanks to latest developments in power consumption of household devices. Firms like Intel and WiTricity can demonstrate practical arrangements to harvest energy from the ambient medium, just as Tesla wanted to do. There is a difference still: the power of these technologies comes from radio or television stations, the harvested amount of energy is rather small. Question: if there is more radiation (it obviously is) why don’t we harvest this?

Tesla cool

Now & today, Tesla becomes more hip, more cool every day. Tesla comes back as the super role-model for the well-educated, well-off, well-to-do and in the know-class. Why? Tesla was never out to lunch, he stayed where he always was: in the center.

Tesla (old) / Tesla (new)

Nikola Tesla has been seen as a visionary for a long time. This made it easier in the first place to avoid mentioning his influence on the modern world, and one could always comment on some of his inventions as impractical. But Tesla invented the AC system and the radio, useful stuff; and Tesla was anyway more of an artist, more of a technical  ”Gesamtkunstwerk”. The rotating magnetic field is a centerpiece of Nature, and so is the transmission of waves. All this was Tesla’s turf, but it seems nobody understood. Today, we have the technical knowledge to understand Tesla, but will we have the brains?

The international film-project “Inventor of Modern Times” will focus on the relevance of Nikola Tesla in all parts of our modern life. Not only AC or the Tesla Roadster are important, but Tesla’s role as the visionary of modern times. Shares will be given out to complete the work. Shares will hold certified property of the finished film. Please mail to krausemike@aol.com.

Tesla conspiracy folklore

There is some misinformation about Tesla, his life and his personality out there. The pictured scenario is remarkably easy: bad Morgan, good Tesla. Human beings are never that easy, nor is life. For instance, Tesla envisioned the harnessing of space energy, energy from the ambient medium. He never dreamt of free energy, this is somebody else’s dream. “Free energy form the active medium” is a really wonderful idea. But I never saw any over-unity machine. Have you? When? Where? If anyone would come up with a “EM windmill” machine - congrats! Or (as it is written in the Tesla folklore): Morgan crushed Tesla! In the real world, Tesla simply didn’t pay back Morgan’s investment, and Morgan went away (in fact, he saved Wall Street after the assasination of president McKinley). Question: what would you do, if you give someone a loan of three Million $ US, and the person you have lent the money to doesn’t pay back any cent. He then demands for more money and - on top of it - he calls you a monster? Really, what would you do? Further false information based on hearsay like “Tesla was murdered” only helps to put Tesla research into the “Big Conspiracy” corner. There is only darkness in that corner, no vision, no future. This is just too simple.

How dare you, Mr.Tesla?

The Tesla film project got a lot of understanding, interest and support during the “dragonforum” workshop in Warszaw. We will see whether this topic will be picked up by commissioning editors. The following Tesla symposium in Vienna was well attended, and the Tesla presentation “On the Road to Tesla” was really well received. The following interview for the yugoslavian newspaper VESTI was a surprise: the VESTI journalist mistook WWI with WWII, and so - within VESTI - Tesla became collaborator with the Nazis. NONSENSE! But an uproar within the Serbian community was the result: OUR Tesla never worked for the Nazis! And this is true; because Tesla worked for Telefunken in WWI. Tesla never worked for the Nazis. He was good friends with George Sylvester Viereck, who promoted Hitler in the US - and was sentenced because of this engagement to 4 years imprisoment in the U.S., though.
